Cardiology Department at SRH
The Cardiology Department at SRH is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest machines and technology, supported by our experienced cardiologists and dedicated support staff. All the beds are equipped with a state-of-the-art cardiac monitoring system, all interconnected to a central monitoring unit capable of multiple functions, including storing and retrieving patients’ vital data.
Most of our patients are treated for acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and congestive heart failure. Patients with lethal arrhythmias, hypertensive emergencies, pericardial diseases, and infective endocarditis comprise a smaller portion of admissions to this ward.
The Critical Care Unit (CCU) also caters to post-cardiac and coronary catheterization procedures. The unit is equipped with a stand-by 2D Echo machine and an ABG (Arterial Blood Gas) analyzer for use when required. We also offer facilities for temporary pacing and invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
