Humanitarian Response-CHT Flash Flood

Project Title: Addressing protection and sexual and reproductive health needs of flash flood affected women, adolescents and transgenders, including pregnant women and women with disabilities

Objective: MHM Kit Distribution to the flood  affected adolescent Girls

Target Beneficiaries: Adolescent Girls of age 10-19 years

Major Activities

  • Enumerators orientation on ASRHR, MHM kits distribution, data collection and sensitization: A total of 89 enumerators (Chakaria-30, Lama-30 and Bandarban -29) received the data collection training on KOBO tools.
  • Orientation for Youth Leaders on MHM, emergency response, SRHR, GBV related lifesaving information:A total of 200 youth volunteers have been oriented on key topics related to Menstrual Health Management (MHM), emergency response, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) lifesaving information. The orientation covered a wide range of subjects, including: Project briefing; Menstrual Health Management (MHM); Job responsibilities of youth and community volunteers; Beneficiary selection process; Kits distribution process and site management; Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) & the Alapon Helpline; Facilitation skills for sensitizing adolescent girls on MHM; Distribution follow-up; and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy.

    This comprehensive training equipped the volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively engage and support their communities.

  • MHM Kits Distribution: A total of 4,626 MHM kits have been distributed in Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar district and Sadar, Lama and Rowangchari upazilas of Bandarban district.

Achievements

  • Trained 200 Youth Volunteers
  • 89 enumerators received data collection training through KOBO
  • 4,626 MHM Kits distributed to 4,626 beneficiaries
